Attention regulation

The acceleration race par excellence is driven over a distance of 201.17 meters in different time classes.

Requirements for the drivers of the 1/8 mile race in the lightning storm 2021 (September 9th to 12th, 2021)

Driver clothing

All drivers must wear long-sleeved outerwear, long trousers and closed shoes during the race.

CAUTION! HELMET MANDATORY!

At this point, we expressly point out that participation in the 1/8 mile race is only possible with a helmet. A suitable helmet must be presented and worn by the starters

Helmet compulsory

Every driver must wear a helmet. The helmets must be approved for motor sport competitions and bear one of the following test marks.
ECE series 22/05 "P", "NP" or "J" (Europe)
B.S.I. BS 6658-85 type A / FR (GB)
JIS T 8133: 2000 (Japan)
Snell Foundation K98, 2000, SA 2000, SA2005 (USA)
SFI 31.1 (SNELL type SA), SFI 41.1 (SNELL type M) (helmet with open face area) (USA)
SFI 31.2 (SNELL type SA), SFI 41.1 (SNELL type M) (full face helmet) (USA)

Seat belts

At least 3-point seat belts must be used. It is strongly recommended that every driver use a 4-point seat belt (harness). The only exceptions are vehicles that are only fitted with a lap belt as standard.
For vehicles driving the 1/8 mile faster than 7.50 seconds, at least two (2) shoulder and one lap belts, each with two attachment points on the body, must be used. The shoulder straps can also have only one attachment point, then attached symmetrically (Y-strap) to the seat. The belt width must be at least 7.5 cm.
